December 15, 2009: For the last minute travelers who live life on the edge, flying by the seat of their pants without so much of an inkling of planning an agenda, start warming up the engines on your private planes because a spectacular trip to Aspen awaits you, starting this Thursday.

This last minute pre-holiday getaway, planned with plenty of glitz, glamor, and excitement, comes courtesy of Piaget Polo On The Snow Championship in Aspen. Four days of fun and festivities will be capped off with a dramatic snow polo tournament played right in the heart of Aspen. Some of the world’s top players, including poster boy Nacho Figueras and rising star Nicolas Roldan, will compete in this world class event. It’s the perfect complement to Aspen’s unparalleled skiing and snowboarding. And with the city turned out for the holidays and slew of après ski festivities planned, it’s the place to be just before Christmas.

The fun kicks off on Thursday night (that’s right, two days from now!) with a silent auction to benefit Aspen Sister Cities with cocktails at The Hotel-Jermoe Century Room. Follow that up with a Friday night dinner at L’Hostaria Restaurant, Saturday night at The Caribou Club, and Sunday’s finals and awards ceremonies, and it is sure to be a long weekend to remember. This year’s high profile brand polo teams include Piaget, Land Rover-Roaring Fork, Bombay Sapphire, Crestview Genetics, L’Hostaria, and Audi.
