San Francisco Wineries and Restaurants Host Haiti Fundraiser

News | January 19, 2010

Amid the recent devastation in Haiti, a group of Bay Area restaurants and wineries are gathering tonight to raise money for the survivors of the recent 7.0-magnitude earthquake that left over thousands dead and even more without homes. The fundraiser will be held at Presidio Café from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and will consist of wine tasting and food compliments of Bay Area vineyards and restaurants. The event, which is open to the public, will feature wine from Vinos Unico, International Vineyards, Blue Wine Company and Siena Imports. A $50-$100 donation is suggested with all profits going to directly to one of four charities: Sirona Cares Foundation (San Francisco-based nonprofit that was working in Haiti for a year prior to the earthquake), Doctors Without Borders, Partners in Health and the American Red Cross. In addition, representatives will be on site to discuss their involvement with the charities.

Presidio Café is located at 300 Finley Rd., San Francisco, CA 415.561.4600
