San Fran is Rolling out the Red Carpet on Wednesday Night

Our neighbors to the south aren’t the only ones who get to roll out the red carpet for celebrity screening events. Just six days into 2010, San Franciscans will welcome Hollywood’s elite when Harrison Ford swings into town for the screening of his new film, Extraordinary Measures, that also stars Brendan Fraser and Kerri Russel.

The Honorable Gavin Newsom, Jennifer Siebel Newsom, and Kristy Yamaguchi are some of the famous faces expected to show their support with a stroll down the crimson rug at the Letterman Digital Arts Center for the Wednesday night screening.

The film is described as one of the great inspirational dramas of our times, following in the footsteps of Erin Brockovich and The Pursuit of Happyness. by documenting the true story of John Crowley’s (Brendan Fraser) plight to save his family and his child from a life threatening disease. Extraordinary Measures opens in theaters on January 22, 2010.
