Olivia Newton-John Will Host Charity Event at The Raleigh

News | January 11, 2010

While tourists may identify Miami as a beach town with a party reputation, we know that South Florida’s charity circuit is one of its true distinguishing factors amongst the local elite. Rounding out what has been a busy calendar of philanthropic events is the “Pink and Blue for Two” fundraiser to be held on April 22 at The Raleigh Hotel on South Beach.

This year’s celebrity hosts will be Olivia Newton-John and renowned surgeon Dr. Ernie Bodai who are certain to garner the attention of media outlets and deep pocket donors alike. Martin Kredit, director of marketing at The Raleigh, tells us that the fundraiser, dubbed “PB42,” brings in contributions and raises awareness for “both breast and prostate cancer research, and to link the similarities between the two. Through the event, we will be urging couples to help remind one another to go in for screenings of both types of cancers, hence the event tag line… “Screen Together. LIV Together.”
