New York’s Finest Throw Down for Haiti

Let New Yorkers do what they do best.

With DJs Mark Ronson and Juskee & Messkid at the tables and and A-star host committee including Peter Davis, Rachelle Hruska, Daphne Oz, Jared Kushner, Jason Pomeranc, Whitney Port, and Charlotte Ronson, 190 Allen Street buzzed with philanthropic energy last night.

Response to the event was so great that a few hours before, Daphne Oz, one of hosts of the evening sent out the following email…

“We are thrilled that so many of you are eager to come out and support this excellent relief effort, thank you so much for your much-needed help.

The downside is that the guest list has now reached capacity. I don’t want anyone making the trek down there if it is not a guarantee, so please take this into account. If you received a confirmation notice stating you have been put on the list, we look forward to seeing you there!!”

We arrived to Thompson LES with the heed well taken, yet the assurance of being confirmed on the list. Having arrived a little on the late side, it was an instant moment for reflection as the plexiglass cubes for the Red Cross were stuffed to the brim with $20 bills.

While New Yorkers seem to be the masters by doing well by doing good, last night’s crowd was definitely doing good.
