Miami Dolphins Home Gets Another Name Change

News | January 19, 2010

Sports related news the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday will announced that Sun Life Financial will be the new naming rights partner for their home stadium. The news will come just weeks before the Pro Bowl and 11 days before Super Bowl XLIV. By then the stadium will be called Sun Life Stadium.

According to some sources the deal will be for five years and average about $7.5 million annually. However, what the companies rights will be restricted to are unclear. Also questionable is how much marketing value Sun Life will be able to take in less than two weeks from an association with this year’s sports events. This will be the seventh name the stadium has since it’s opening, when it was known as Joe Robbie stadium. I’m sure at this point the fans don’t even mind.
