HP’s Wall of Touch

News | January 21, 2010

The “Wall of Touch” by HP is taking touch screen technology to a whole new level. This giant wall can sense what you about to press, before you actually press it. How? It uses cameras and magnetic sensors to detect where your hands are, and that automatically activates the items on the screen that you’re going to press. HP already began bringing out out these huge rare screens that are powered by their Z800 workstation. The first one will be placed in the Continental Airlines terminal at the airport in Houston, Texas, and depending on the feedback, HP will look into bringing it out to the mainstream market. The Wall of Touch ranges from $2,000 to $100,000.
