Haute Ink

News | January 17, 2010

Since fashion trends come and go, but tattoos are forever, instead of getting inked up, follow style cues from the 2010 runways and indulge in Chanel’s commitment-free transfer tattoos.

With temporary ink seen in shows from Rodarte, Jean Paul Gautier, and then at Chanel, this is a trend that is set to take off. Ignoring the norm, which tends to consist of garishly colored hearts, roses, and pin-up girls, Chanel has created a haute couture look with their transfer tats in a clever bangle, bead and floral design (adorned with the iconic interlocking CC).

Les Trompe L’oeil de Chanel, a set of 55 individual tattoos, will be available in boutiques, concessions, and the Selfridges counter beginning on March 1 for approximately $80. Sign up for yours asap, Selfridges already has a waiting list started.
