Furniture Pieces Ordered By Michael Jackson Will Go Up for Auction

Our beloved late King of Pop, Michael Jackson, was known for his strange, yet edgy sense of style and talent. The superstar had apparently contracted Italian furniture maker, Colombostile, to deliver a few unique items for a London Mansion he was going to live in during his This Is It tour. Unfortunately, he passed away before the furniture maker could deliver the items. Colombostile has returned the $700,000 back to Katherine Jackson, and plan to auction the items off in the future. Among these items is a $120,000 sofa that was supposedly Michael’s favorite, which measures 15 feet long and is set with onyx stones. Jackson had even planned to use the sofa as a prop on stage during the tour. For his bedroom, he had ordered a red velvet sofa with the pillows made out of the same fabric as his costumes. There is also a $110,000 handmade desk that was modeled after a desk that was given to King Louis XIV, and includes a secret compartment.

Another one of the many unique pieces he had ordered, is a chair covered in shells for his Little Mermaid themed room, another embroidered in 24 kt gold modeled after Tsar Nicholas II’s collection, and another he bought for his friend Elizabeth Taylor. Michael had been designing a room for Taylor in his London home.
