“Full Circle at the Farmstead” in the Newest Issue of Haute Living San Francisco

News | January 17, 2010

The newest issue of Haute Living San Francisco doesn’t just take readers behind the scenes with Joe Montana at his wine country estate, or into the world of the power players in California real estate, it also introduces the audience to the newest venture making headlines in St. Helena.

Ted, Laddie, and Chris Hall have been farming the land of Long Meadow Ranch since the 1980s, but in December they swung open the doors of the much-anticipated new tasting room at the new Long Meadow Ranch Winery & Farmstead. In the issue, I talked to Chris about the inspiration for the winery and restaurant and his aspirations for Long Meadow in 2010. With the tasting room celebrating a December opening, the restaurant slated to debut in early February, and an organic farmers market to become operational in the spring, Chris is certainly not sitting back and resting on his laurels. “I envision that in the summer, you can come to the restaurant and have an organic heirloom tomato salad, stop at the market next door immediately after and take one of the heirloom tomatoes home with you, and also go to the nursery and buy the seeds or buy the plant to work with at home. This culinary and agricultural center is really meant to be a food-wine-and-farm experience.”

Read more about it in “Full Circle at the Farmstead” in the January/February issue and then swing by for a sit down and let us know what you think.
