Four Seasons Resort in Dallas Headed For Foreclosure

News | January 14, 2010

Lenders are reportedly looking to foreclose on the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas. This huge 400-acre hotel five-star hotel has a spa, and a golf club in Irving, Texas, and contains more than 430 rooms, two restaurants, lounge bars, a golf course, a sports club, and a spa. Last year, the resort did a $60 million-dollar renovation with a new sports bar, pool, and tennis court.

To force the repayment of a $183 million loan on the property, U.S. Bank NA is pushing for a foreclosure sale on February 2. The foreclosure has been in the works for a while, as the borrowers, BentleyForbes missed payments. BentleyForbes has owned the resort since 2006, and Four Seasons operates the facility. In a series of hotel foreclosures around the country, this resort is still operating normally until further notice.
