Emilio Estefan Brings His Rhythm of Success to Eden Roc

On January 7, 2010, Eden Roc Renaissance in Miami Beach turned up the heat to welcome 19-time Grammy winning producer and author Emilio Estefan to a cocktail party in honor of his newly released book, The Rhythm of Success: How an Immigrant Produced his own American Dream which he signed for guests at the event.

The celebratory evening was a true testament to Emilio Estefan’s incredible resilience as he strived to realize and embody the American dream. As husband to singer Gloria Estefan, Emilio is also the founder of the Latin pop legend Miami Sound Machine. At age 19, Estefan came to the United States as a Cuban refugee and subsequently went on not only to become a multiple Grammy award-winning producer, but also to develop an evergreen business with investments in real estate, entertainment, hotels, and restaurants.

Having succeeded on his own terms, Estefan shares his guiding principles in The Rhythm of Success, to direct readers in the direction they will need to go to start and grow their own business, or climb higher on the corporate ladder. He imparts the basics needed for readers to identify their values, believe in their ideas, and establish their own plans for success.

Guests at the book signing cocktail event included: Gloria Estefan, Emilio’s niece Lili Estefan, Miami Mayor Thomas P. Regalado, news anchor Maria Celeste Arraras, television host Lilia Luciano, Mari Elena Salinas, Raul de Molina, Lisa Pliner, Lea Black, Jason Clarke, Robert van de Wouw, Erin Newberg, Belkys Nerey, Lisa Petrillo, Brandon Lieb, Aleco Azqueta and University of Miami President Donna Shalala who all toasted Emilio and his success with Atlantico Rum cocktails.
