Diane Kruger: the New Face of L’Oréal

News | January 4, 2010

Inglorious Bastards star and German actress, Diane Kruger, has been signed on to beauty giant L’Oréal. The move comes after an obvious trend of A-listers being asked to front the campaigns of the world’s biggest fashion and beauty brands, such as Lancôme signing Julia Roberts and Helena Rubinstein snatching Demi Moore for their beauty ads.

L’Oréal previously had Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto, an great move towards ethnic diversity. Kruger was quoted as saying, “I admire the brand, not only for the quality and innovation of its products, but also because it represents diversity and excellence across the world, values which are very close to my heart.”

However, L’Oréal has been recently attacked for allegedly digitally ‘bleaching’ the skin of its spokesmodels, including Pinto and singer Beyoncé. Kurger will still front the brand’s haircare, hair color and make-up campaigns, particularly the brand’s latest foundation, Mat’Morphose.
