Château Mouton Rothschild Chooses Bernar Venet for 2007 Vintage Bottle
Every year, Château Mouton Rothschild chooses a well respected artist to feature on their famous bottle. For the 2007 vintage, they’ve set their sights on French sculptor Bernar Venet.
Château Mouton Rothschild has worked with artistic legends such as Picasso, Warhol, Lucien Freud, and Francis Bacon. Bernar Vernet is mostly known for his arch shaped sculptures, and will now have one more notch on his belt with fronting the wine’s bottle.
With Château Mouton Rothschild and the artists chosen for the bottles, the artists are not paid in money, but rather in bottles. Vernet is expected to be receive 10 crates and half from his contributive year.
