The Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco Legion of Honor is hosting an exhibition called “Cartier and America,” which will cover the history of Cartier through the 1970s from the private Cartier Collection in Geneva. The exhibition will include a vast array of more than 300 items, including necklaces, clocks, and watches. Items like the Tutti Frutti necklace and the Crocodile necklace are from 1975. Classical watches such as Maurice Couet’s mystery clocks and the Egyptian Striking Clock will be showcased. Also noteworthy, the FDR Victory Clock that was auctioned by Sotheby’s for a record $1.6 million in December 2007 will also make a guest appearance.
