World’s Most Expensive Cupcake

News | December 16, 2009

In Las Vegas, you can find a sweet treat to satisfy your sweet tooth that’ll cost you plenty, but we can assure that for $750, it’ll be worth your while. Named the Decadence D’Or and fit for royalty, this little pricey morsel is made from 100-year-old Louis XIII de Remy Martin Cognac, Palmira Single Estate Chocolate from the rare Porcelain Crillo bean, Tahita Gold Vanilla Caviar (the most labour-intensive agricultural crop on the planet) and edible gold flakes. Sold by Sweet Surrenders, a candy and cupcake shop in the Palazzo Resort on the Las Vegas strip, the cupcake is a surefire tourist stop.
