Univision Celebrates the Work of Ray Rodriguez
On November 19th, Univision Communications Inc. held a private bash last week at LIV Nightclub, located at the Fontainebleau Miami Beach, to celebrate Univision Network’s former President and Chief Operating Officer Ray Rodriguez‘s retirement and 20 years of hard work and dedication. More than 300 high profile guests attended, including dignitaries, industry leaders, and celebrities such as Enrique Iglesias, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, TV personality Maria Elena Salinas and Philanthropist Adrienne Arsht, gathered to honor Rodriguez and welcome new President Cesar Conde.
In a ceremony held earlier in the day, Joe Uva, president and chief executive officer of Univision Communications, announced that the network’s building in Miami had been named the “The Ray Rodriguez Broadcasting Center”. The night was also highlighted by the announcement of a proclamation issued by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Alvarez declaring the day as “Ray Rodriguez Day” and a second proclamation from the City of Doral recognizing Rodriguez’s legacy.
