And finally, after working out, working the Tuscan landscapes, working for the environment and human rights, she is also working at her job, as the head of Xingu Films, the film production company she founded more than 15 years ago in her quest to take control of her own career. As producer, she played instrumental roles in first-time writer/director Guy Ritchie’s Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and first-time writer/director Dito Montiel’s A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints. The project that has been the buzz of 2009 is the psychological drama Moon from Duncan Jones, with an award-winning performance from Sam Rockwell. Styler proudly proclaims the film has already been nominated for seven British Independent Film Awards.

If 2010 proves to be anything like the previous Styler years, chockfull of action and achievement, this will certainly not be the last we hear from her.
