Smyth Hotel to Open Bi-level Restaurant & Lounge

News | December 6, 2009

The new Smyth Hotel in New York’s Tribeca is already planning an exciting new project for its guests—a 100-seat Jour et Nuit Restaurant & Lounge by Parisian restaurateur Frederick Lesort.

The Smyth Hotel, part of Thompson Hotels, is located in the heart of Manhattan’s vibrant Tribeca neighborhood and was immaculately designed by Yabu Pushelberg and BBG. The new 14-story, 100-room hotel features well-appointed rooms and suites that include custom made MOD furniture, bath amenities by Kiehl’s, room snacks by Dean & Deluca and Eli Zabar’s, flat screen TV’s and, of course, iPod docking stations.

This sophisticated hotel with a trendy twist will soon be home to a bi-level, 100-seat Jour et Nuit Restaurant & lounge brought to Tribecans by Parisian restaurateur Frederick Lesort. The upcoming restaurant, called Cellar Cocktail Lounge, will feature 2,500 square feet of underground space and it is scheduled to open this spring.

Smyth is Thompson Hotels’ fifth Manhattan hotel and it had its grand opening in February. Rooms start at $275 per night for a standard room, a king suite is $575 per night, and a stay at the penthouse will cost you $3,500 a night.
