Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2010 Sunglass Collection

Parisian street artist Andre created a portrait gallery of Parisian and New York trendsetters for Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2010 Sunglass collection. The photos, along with information about the upcoming sunglass collection, were launched by Louis Vuitton on a special mini website dedicated to the collaboration.

Andre and a slew of friends are included in the series of photographs wearing the Marc Jacobs designed frames which take cues from the house codes. On the women’s styles, the Monogram flower is featured, and for the men, the design includes the Damier check.

All frames were developed by hand to obtain “house colors reminiscent of the leather goods lines, the finishes on the hinges have been crafted to form perfect LV initials, and the lenses were given special treatments, photochromy, and polarization.”

Louis Vuitton has been producing sunglasses since 2005. Like all of their products, the eyewear is exclusively manufactured for Louis Vuitton by optical craftsmen from the French region of Morez, the Jura, and Italy’s Cadore region.

All Louis Vuitton sunglasses provide a reliable protection against solar UV radiation, “combining new technology and high quality.”

Taking on a seventies feel, the Spring/Summer 2010 Sunglass collection will be exclusively available in the Louis Vuitton network as of March 2010.
