Cruise Company’s Hardships Cause Yacht Discount

News | December 28, 2009

One of a matched pair of mini cruise ships in Bora Bora, the 226-foot dream yacht, Tia Moana, was listed last year for 30 million euros. The superyacht includes 30 cabins, has five decks, two jacuzzis, an on-deck movie screen, a library, fitness area and ample dining space. The company who runs both ships (Bora Bora Cruises) recently was placed in receivership by the Papeete Mixed Commerce Tribunal, and as a result was renamed Nomade Yachting Bora Bora. Now, the Tia is listed for 25 million euros. Its sister ship, the Tu Moana, will be available for private charters starting in April 2010 after a renovation that will include a large owner’s suite, six VIP suites, and eight double cabins with a maximum capacity of 30 passengers.
