Backstage with Dior

News | December 22, 2009

Here is another treat for all fashion enthusiasts, and it comes in the form of a book. Never has a picture book looked as good as Roxanne Lowit’s newest venture, Backstage Dior. In her 30 years of capturing the backstage action of some the most important fashion shows Lowit has managed to capture some pretty amazing things. Those amazing shots have catapulted her success in to include exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Whitney Museum and others.

Her newest contribution is a fascinating chronicle to the backstage of one of the world’s most whimsical designers, Dior’s very own John Galliano. The couture creations spill out of this book containing over a decade of the jungle that is the back stages of Dior. The book comes with a forward by Galliano, and includes a vibrant mix of color and black and white images; there are candid and close-up shots, plus great behind the scenes insider details.  It’s about time the public got a closer look at one of fashion’s favorite shows.
