Women of the Year Honored in New York City
It was good to be a woman in New York City last night as Glamour Magazine honored its “Women of the Year” with a fun-filled, celebrity-packed dinner at South Gate, followed by an award ceremony at Carnegie Hall.
Haute Living recently reported on the Women’s Conference 2009 which was a powerful and enlightening event hosted to represent some of the world’s most influential and strong women. This week, however, the awards were handed out for what Glamour Magazine considers to be a diverse group of distinguished women, worthy of recognition.
Among the recipients were Rihanna, Maria Shriver, and Stella McCartney who joined a large group of supporters including Diane von Furstenberg, Katie Couric, Iman, and many more. The evening turned out to be a huge success with guests enjoying the opportunity to recognize and award some of the most stand-out women of the year.
