The Pulse’s Heartfelt Celebration

News | November 18, 2009

More than 450 people gathered together atop the Waldorf Astoria’s rooftop starlight room on October 22 to support The Cardiovascular Research Foundation through the Third Annual Pulse of the City Gala. Dr. Martin B. Leon, cardiologist and researcher, was the main honoree of the event. During the gala, a multimedia presentation was shown highlighting Dr. Leon’s rescue of Lillian Feldshuh, a woman suffering from a near-fatal heart condition. The presentation was followed by a chic four-course dinner and wrapped up with cocktails and dancing. Notable guests included New York Mayor Ed Koch, Andrea Abiziad, MD, Alex Abiziad, MD, Sheehan Raab, and Debra and Art Rosenthal. Proceeds from the evening benefited CRF and the organization’s research and educational programs.
