SoHo House L.A. Slowly Takes Shape

The SoHo House is currently under construction in Los Angeles and reports from near-by neighbors indicate that it is going to be under construction for quite some time still.

The swank restaurant and club was initially dreaded by some residents who live nearby and were worried about unwanted noise, traffic, and other factors of construction and a number of complaints were filed. Unfortunately for these residents, other individuals (read: Elton John and his partner David Furnish) who also live close to the construction zone actually wrote letters of support. To thank its supporters, SoHo House offered gift certificates to supporters as a thank you, and one person even received a full week stay at the SoHo House in New York. Pretty nice reward for writing a letter saying something along the lines of “go ahead.”

It was also previously reported that the SoHo House LA will be featuring a pool on the roof providing guests with spectacular views of the city while cooling down; unfortunately, it appears that those plans have been scrapped and guests will have to cool down by sipping on some frozen drinks.

As the construction continues and the opening date approaches, neighbors, residents and SoHo House fans will have to wait and see exactly what the restaurant/club will have in store for them.
