Jewels to Debut New Men’s Line
On December 2, 2009, Jewels, by Jewels will be hosting a private reception at the Colonial Arts Gallery. The new men’s line will debut showcasing the skillfully crafted designs. Celebrities such as Ali MacGraw, Candice Bergen and Sheryl Crow have all collected her work and this time around she will debut her men’s collection.
Jewels is famous for her unique worldly take on her designs; which are created from fine antique tribal elements. The pieces are handmade with material such as shell, amber, turquoise, gold, charms, glass beads and trade objects. A perfect accent for a casual day, these pieces of art are an example of what true craftsmanship looks like.
The Santa Fe and Marrakech- based artist takes inspiration from her travels around the world. Educated in Europe, she takes an understanding of jewelry design from various cultures and cultural artifacts. Her artful collection will be displayed at Colonial Arts Dec. 2-9.
