Haute Estate: James Patterson’s $14.95 million Home

News | November 21, 2009

James Patterson, renowned author of thriller novels such as “The Lake House,” “The Quickie,” and the “Alex Cross” series, has listed his Palm Beach home on the market for $14.95 million.

Patterson’s plantation-style home features five-bedrooms and 7,970 square feet. The extremely successful author has dubbed this estate “the house that Alex Cross built” and it rests on the Intracoastal Waterway. The home features a heated pool, a spa, and a boat deck, for all of your South Florida needs.

So just where is the infamous author heading to now that he is saying farewell to his Palm Beach home? Well, he’s not going too far actually. He’ll be moving into another Palm Beach property, only this one is apparently three times the size of the one he’s selling. The new home was purchased over the summer for $17.45 million.

Ah, the potential benefits and joys of writing. What’s not to love?
