Gordon Ramsay’s Restaurants Debt

News | November 25, 2009

Apparently celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay has more on his mind than just cooking Christmas dinner for the Beckham family as four of his restaurants were taken to court because of debts that remain unsettled.

Chef Gordon Ramsay has made a name for himself through his delectable meals, successful restaurants, and straight-talking no-nonsense approach to life. But it’s questionable as to whether any of those traits will get him out of this most recent situation which the celebrity chef has found himself in.

Four of Ramsay’s companies have reportedly been so late with paying their bills that they were actually taken to court today. The good news is that two of the four came out with new deadlines to pay the debts. Ramsay’s restaurant, Gordon Ramsay Plane Food (which operates at Terminal 5 in London) was given 14 days leeway for the check to clear, while Gordon Ramsay Maze Ltd. was given just over two months to pay its debt off. The bad news is that, “if the companies fail to settle the debts, the court could put them into receivership, the businesses will be closed, and any assets will be sold off.”

Well, at least he’s still got David and Victoria.
