Bee’s Got a New Boss
New York definitely has its share of socialites, and one of my personal favorites, miss queen bee herself, Bee Shaffer, has landed a job. For those unfamiliar with Shaffer or led astray by her last name, she is the daughter of fashion juggernaut Anna Winotur. And despite any genetic inclination towards journalism or the editorial forte (she’s already had roles at Teen Vogue and London’s Daily Telegraph), Bee seems to be buzzing her own path–as a personal assistant. Shaffer’s new superior, Ricky Van Veen, is one of the founding forces behind the Internet funny-site CollegeHumor.com (“The Overgrown guy-girlfriend” is a classic!). Shaffer’s duties are not geared towards the site, though, her focus is in the direction of Van Veen’s new production company, Notional.
