An Orthopaedic Celebration
The Brae Burn Country Club in Purchase, New York, hosted The Orthopaedic Foundation for Active Lifestyles’ fifth anniversary gala fundraiser on October 22. Dr. Kevin Plancher, an internationally recognized orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine expert, was honored for his efforts and accomplishments in the orthopaedic world with a celebratory cocktail reception and dinner presentation by some of the finest chefs from Greenwich Village. Some of the participating restaurants were Valbella, Morello Bistro, Myrnas, and Tengda. The audience was also entertained by Grammy Award winning artist Judy Collins and comedian Jane Condon. Guests at the event included supermodel Heidi Albertsen, David Jensen, Christopher Dapolito, Sue Merz, and many others. The event rose over $425,000, all of which will directly aid OFAL’s medical research and educational programs.
