Fall Favorites from the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco

News | October 20, 2009

The weather turned pretty chilly across the country this past weekend, and since the fall weather immediately inspires me to covet pumpkin-flavored…well, anything, I wanted to share some of our Chef Ron Siegel’s favorite fall recipes with you. Chef Siegel is our Haute Ambassador for the Culinary Arts, and an incredible chef to boot (he trained under Thomas Keller at the French Laundry). While pumpkins aren’t ingredients in any of these dishes, they do feature another go-to fall vegetable – squash. Click through for his favorite fall recipes, which feature ingredients that are bountiful in the region this time of year. These originally appeared in the September/October edition of Haute Living San Francisco – and of course appear on the menu at his restaurant, the Dining Room at the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco – and we are happy to share the delectable-sounding dishes with you. Should you be adventurous enough to try to recreate some of Chef Siegel’s magic in your own kitchen, be sure to let us know in the comments below….and feel free to send some samples to our Miami headquarters. While it might not be quite as chilly as the rest of the USA, we did have to break out our sweaters this weekend too!
