Daniel Boulud Plans to Close his Wynn Brasserie
There is sad news for the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas—renowned chef Daniel Boulud will be closing his Daniel Boulud Brasserie, which is located in the hotel, early next year.
The Brasserie is Boulud’s only Vegas outpost, but his five-year contract will expire in April, 2010 and while there was the option to renew, Boulud decided against it, leaving Vegas without one of its most revered restaurants and cherished chefs.
As Boulud, a Haute Living cover in early 2009, leaves Vegas behind, he remains a dominant, and extremely successful, fine-dining household name in New York City, Vancouver, Beijing, Florida and possibly next, London. In preparation for his departure, the Wynn Hotel, a Haute Living favorite, in is currently seeking another big name chef to replace the possibly irreplaceable Boulud.
