Lafite Around the World

When in doubt, wine. SBE understands-and embraces-that concept, and on Monday, January 19, is hosting an exclusive Chateau Lafite Rothschild wine dinner at Michael Mina’s newly opened XIV at SLS Beverly Hills. The remarkable space, designed by Philippe Starck, evokes the drama and opulence of a European chateau, making it the ideal setting for such a spectacular dining experience. The special “Lafite Around the World” dinner will consist of a 10-course tasting experience, featuring wines from all of Chateau LAfite Rothschild’s winemaking properties in four countries and six winemaking regions.

Featured wines for the evening include: 2004 Chateau Lafite Rothschild; 2005 Chateau Lafite Reserve Special; and 2004 Chateau Rieussec Sauternes. Tickets are a mere $195 per person, which, for a 10-course tasting at a Michael Mina establishment-paired with some of the finest wines available-is certainly a deal.
