New York fashion and textile designer Abby Modell created a new line of distinctive artisan glass pieces that combine the best aspects of glass blowing with the world of high-fashion. These one-of-a-kind sculptures seem to fuse the boundaries between solid objects and fluid motion, taking cues from Modell’s wardrobe creations. “Working with glass is similar to fabric, yet allows for greater interpretation, creating a unique interaction and reaction between the harmony of the color and glass,” she explains.

Many of Modell’s designs combine materials such as stainless steel with glass pedestals that defy spatial limitations, making colorful glass seem as if it is suspended midair. All of the designs in the line are limited edition, and prices range from $2,000 to $10,000.
