Ambierod: Today’s the day!
The Auto Expo in New Delhi, taking place today (January 10), is going to host a spectacular car that we can’t stop gawking at.
Dilip Chhabria, the renowned car designer whose credits include a Bond car and several other custom designer cars, is unleashing the Ambierod today, with additional speculation that, if the car goes into production, it will tip the scales at around $1 million.
Sure, it’s not the Koenigsegg CCX-R (which we covered in our most recent issue of Haute Living, with it’s 1,000+ bhp, but that isn’t exactly a production car, either (since only six were made.)
According to Born Rich, the Ambierod “is going to be the most expensive designed car [that has] ever been showcased at the Auto Expo. The luxury car is likely to be equipped with an automated instrumental panel backed by satellite nagication system, read vision camera, three LCD televisions, internet and videoconferencing-enabled flat bed and multi-coloured mood lighting.”
The American hotrod inspiration is obvious, though the car also has an Aston Martin-like appearance as well. In any case, you don’t need to convince us that this is one awesome automobile.
