If you recall, about a month ago, we blogged about the juicy rumor that A-rod, baseball’s richest player, was looking to purchase a $16 million penthouse suite  in the ritzy 170 East End Ave. building.  Well now, it’s gotten even juicier! Our sources say, that A-rod has switched his focus from the Upper East Side to the quieter, and more familial glamorous suburban of Greenwich Conn. Nowadays, A-rod is looking at the $25 million Lake Carrington Estate. A Georgian-style mansion of 35,000 square feet set aside 9-acres of lake. With seven bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, 9 fireplaces, a vast wine cellar, a home theater, basketball court, an indoor lap pool, and a fishing as well as ice-skating hut. Furthermore, it is said that the mansion still needs about $5 million worth of interior finishes. A-rod’s interested in the NY/Connecticut region strongly suggests that he may remain with the Bronx Bombers after this season… Via New York Post
