Welcome to the Neighborhood Trump SoHo
We reported last week that it would be happening, and on Friday morning, at 11 a.m., the Trump family and the City of New York proved us right by celebrating the official ribbon cutting to mark the opening of the new Trump SoHo.
The VIPs who made a trip to support the cause naturally included Donald Trump himself, flanked by his offspring and project partners, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, and Eric Trump, along with Deputy Mayor for Economic Development Robert C. Lieber, and our own Haute Ambassador of Travel, Joe Cinque.
“New York is the world’s greatest city, and we are excited to bring our award-winning Trump Hotel Collection brand to one of its most iconic neighborhoods. Trump SoHo is unlike anything else, and we are looking forward to welcoming our guests and visitors to this fantastic property,” Donald commented at the affair.
While they cut the red ribbon on Friday morning, the 14-foot bronze doors officially swung open to welcome its first guests (for an introductory rate of $389 a night for a guestroom or $489 for a suite) later that afternoon at 3 p.m.
In addition to the incredible Celebrity Apprentice package that we told you about last week, the other things that guests have to look forward when visiting the neighborhood’s newest luxury locale include a swank pool bar, hotel lounge, a library, the first NYC outpost of the upscale Miami eatery, Quattro, as well as rooms outfitted by Fendi Casa and Bellino, and a luxury spa that is on the way.
On the way to the ceremony, Ivanka told Forbes’ Karen Blankfeld, “We already have a full hotel on our first weekend opening, it’s quite incredible… You have to go and see: it’s sexy, it’s sleek, it’s got beautiful features and amenities.”
The Trump name, with development collaborations from the Sapir Organization and the Bayrock Group, and design inspiration from Rockwell Group, mean that luxury lovers now have a new SoHo haunt to call home.
