In a city so bright, you’ve gotta wear shades.

Sunglasses brand Quay Australia, the newest addition to the Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, will help you put your most fashionable face forward, even on Sin City’s sunniest days.

“It’s so sunny here, you need a whole wardrobe of sunglasses,” suggests Miracle Mile Shops’ Senior Director of Marketing Wendy Albert. “The day they opened, I bought two or three pairs. I do not need more sunglasses in my life, but the styles are so fabulous that you can’t not get them.”

Quay’s funky frames for men and women are popular among festival goers, celebrities and social media influencers like tastemaker Kylie Jenner, who designed a collection for Quay last summer.

The brand is the brainchild of Melbourne-based couple Linda and Allen Hammond, who designed and sold the sunglasses roadside at music festivals, starting in 1999. The sunglasses picked up so much steam in just a few short years that their family soon expanded to downtown Los Angeles, Calif.

Quay Australia in the Miracle Mile Shops is the fourth store in the U.S., with three in California.

Albert describes the addition of Quay Australia as Miracle Mile Shops’ latest milestone in revolutionizing Las Vegas retail. The mall features more than a mile of 200 shops, restaurants and live entertainment venues.

“We’ve done a great job of making sure we’re offering the customer something you can’t find anywhere else,” she says, noting recent additions to the mall including NYX Professional Makeup’s premier Las Vegas location and the world’s first land‐based robotic bar, Tipsy Robot.

Quay’s sister brand Morphe Cosmetics will open its first‐to‐market location at the mall in June while restaurant Geisha House will debut later this year.

“You can shop, eat, get your hair and makeup done … watch people on the Strip, see a show, play in the casino,” says Albert. “Customers can come here and never leave.”OTL_II_BLCK_FADE_BROWN_FRONTPhoto Credit: Quay Australia

Along with sunglasses, Quay sells an assortment of innovative eyewear accessories, such as fanny packs and a case that collapses flat so it won’t take up a ton of space in your bag or purse. Sunglasses range in price from $50-$65.

The store at the Miracle Mile Shops is open Sunday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to midnight.
