The Palms Casino Resort kicked off the unofficial start of summer this past weekend with an official grand opening for its new crown jewel, APEX Social Club.

It was a star-studded Memorial Day holiday celebration all weekend long at the new lush Las Vegas lounge from Clique Hospitality. Special live performances included music legend Nas, as well as a DJ set by Questlove featuring hip-hop personality Yameen. Rapper Rick Ross performed live, with mic, rose champagne and cigar in hand.

Guests throughout the weekend included model and actress Emily Ratajkowski and her new husband Sebastian Bear-McClard, social media celebrity The Fat Jewish13 Reasons Why star Ajiona Alexus, Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Marie Shayand Bachelor in Paradise star Iggy Rodriguez.

Celebs enjoyed the breathtaking views of the Las Vegas valley from the club’s 4,500-square-foot outdoor patio and terrace, 55 floors above the city, where they sipped on champagne and cocktails and danced the weekend away.

Offering unparalleled nightlife experiences, up close and personal performances, VIP bottle service and second-to-none scenery, APEX is located in the space formerly known as Ghostbar. The open-air nightclub includes four 3,000-pound art pieces called Psychogeographies, which are part of a larger collection of 120 sculptures by Brooklyn-based artist Dustin Yellin

“This venue has a status and cachet that is pretty much unmatched,” said Clique Hospitality’s Andy Masi, who owns the club along with Ryan Labbe and Jason “Jroc” Craig. “Las Vegas has always been a world leader when it comes to nightlife. Why not have a few drinks on top of the world?”

APEX is just one piece of phase one of a $620 million plan to reimagine the Palms property, which includes a collection of new restaurants and entertainment venues, renovation of the casino and a property-wide contemporary art program.

During Memorial Day weekend, Ratajkowki and her friends dined at Scotch 80 Prime, the Palms’ newly unveiled steakhouse while Alexus enjoyed the mixology program at the new Camden Cocktail Lounge.

Memorial Day weekend also kicked off Blink-182’s first-ever Las Vegas rock residency with a sold-out concert at the Palms’ newly remodeled The Pearl concert theater.

The band—Mark Hoppus (vocals/bass), Travis Barker (drums) and Matt Skiba (guitar)—put the new multi-million dollar sound system to the test, performing hit songs from their nearly 25-year history including “What’s My Age Again,” “First Date” and “Dammit,” as well as songs from the band’s seventh studio album California.

Presented by the Palms and Live Nation, the Grammy-nominated trio will perform the 16-run Kings of the Weekend residency at The Pearl through November.
