As of February 28th, globally-renowned Swiss watch brand, Hublot, has announced the appointment of former Managing Director of Hublot North America Jean-François Sberro as the company’s new President of Hublot of America, effective immediately.

The exciting news is much deserved by the seasoned watch veteran who has been with the brand since 2009. Sberro first joined Hublot in Nyon in 2009, later moving to Hublot of America stationed in Miami in 2012, and was appointed Managing Director in 2015. After growing the brand in U.S. and Canada throughout the past three years and showing strong numbers and development, Sberro will now take on the title as President of America.

Sberro credits much of his success to longtime mentor, Jean-Claude Biver, head of LVMH Watch Division, as well as Hublot Global CEO Ricardo Guadalupe. He first started out at TAG Heuer in 2004, and later joined Hublot in 2009, so he has long been an influential fixture in the watch sector of the prestigious LVMH group.

The Haute 100-lister previously told us during an exclusive interview that his secret to keeping the brand relevant is to offer prime retail locations with exclusive collections for clients based on the market. “The proximity we have to our clients allows us to engage them in a bevy of the brand’s fresh and exciting activations, collaborations and launches that are hosted in various new and established venues in and around the city,” he stated.

In his new role, Sberro plans to continue this strategy, as well as implement new and engaging ways to keep the brand fresh and its clients engaged.

“My journey with Hublot, which started in 2009, has been nothing short of exceptional. Hublot showed a stunning turn-around in 2005 and has experienced phenomenal development since then. It has been one of the most incredible success stories in the watch industry,” Jean-François says. “It was a privilege to be part of that adventure. I’m looking forward to raising the bar even higher in the future under the leadership of our Chairman, Jean-Claude Biver, and global CEO, Ricardo Guadalupe. We will do our best to keep on spreading the ‘Art of Fusion’ message all over North America and beyond!”
