An Inside Look At The LOUIS XIII Table at The New York Botanical Garden Orchid Dinner At The Plaza Hotel
Last week, LOUIS XIII proudly co-sponsored the New York Botanical Garden Orchid Dinner at The Plaza Hotel, in celebration of The Orchid show on view from March 3rd – April 22nd at the New York Botanical Gardens.
The Orchid Dinner is one of the most highly anticipated events of the New York winter social schedule, known for its stunning table centerpieces of large-scale orchid arrangements created by New York’s leading designers. This year’s centerpieces were created by Colin Cowie, Founder & CEO of Colin Cowie Lifestyle. Cowie expertly designed the LOUIS XIII table inspired by their signature decanter.
“I am honored to partner with LOUIS XIII for this year’s Orchid Dinner and have designed a stunning table inspired by this brand that is the epitome of luxury, craftsmanship and elegance.”, says Colin Cowie, “We created this extraordinary presentation using red leather, gold Bernardaud chargers and a canopy of Red Vanda orchid garlands. Each strand is finished with a red crystal, reminiscent of the cognac pouring. My inspiration came from the LOUIS XIII decanter itself, which stands proudly in the middle of the table.”
Proceeds from the event went towards the development of the Botanical Garden’s orchid research collection, which helps maintain the highest horticulture standards of orchid conservation.
