Willy Wonka Eat Your Heart Out: Find A Diamond In Your Valentine’s Day Dessert At Beauty & Essex
Beauty & Essex's three national restaurants—Las Vegas, Los Angeles and New York—are offering the ultimate Valentine's Day surprise—a diamond dessert.
If you want to feel like you’ve discovered Willy Wonka’s golden ticket this Valentine’s Day, head to one of Beauty & Essex‘s three national locations—Los Angeles, Las Vegas or New York—to discover a diamond in your dessert (if you’re the lucky in love winner, that is).
It’s pricey, but isn’t love worth it? The $1,000 Beauty & Essex Valentine’s Day dessert includes a tray of espresso macchiato served with sugar jewels in a heart-shaped locket and a chocolate sphere incasing a round, brilliant cut, .10 carat white diamond from the Beauty & Essex Pawn Shop; a jewelry box filled with glitter-dusted doughnuts, served with caramel, chocolate and berry dipping sauces; a jewelry box of chocolate hearts with various fillings; and a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rose Champagne.
For those unfamiliar Beauty & Essex is an ultra glam hot spot, that, while retaining similar sensibilities in each city, have their own city-specific flavor. Whether it be on the Lower East Side of New York, adjacent to Hollywood’s Dream Hotel or on the Las Vegas Strip inside the super-trendy Cosmopolitan Hotel & Casino, the TAO-owned restaurants all feature a secret entranceway—a well-curated modern day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, a boombox, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry; several distinctive dining rooms; resplendent chandeliers; a women’s bathroom complete with a salon including a luxurious sofa, and antique perfume bottles; and now, in Hollywood, even social media stations. The cuisine consists of small, inventive shared plates like grilled cheese and tomato soup dumplings; tomato tartare; and tuna poke wonton tacos.
