Take A Look: Tom Cruise Joins Instagram And Reveals Mission Impossible 6

Something strange is happening in Hollywood. More celebrities are joining social media and it is alarmingly addicting to track. Tom Cruise joined Instagram yesterday, and in less than 24 hours of signing up, 700,000 plus people have followed.
Cruise definitely didn’t sign up because his ex-wife Nicole Kidman did. He joins Instagram strategically enough during the production of the sixth installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise Mission: Impossible-Fallout.

Perhaps this sudden interest in social media stems from the hoping to entice those that follow to watch the film when it premieres. One of the worst films Cruise was a part of was the remake of The Mummy, receiving two stars and a laundry list of bad press.

So, publicity stunt? Maybe. Cruise first two posts are the announcement of the Mission: Impossible-Fallout coming out “summer 2018.”

And, the second imaged on his Instagram is Cruise hanging onto a helicopter in midair. (Is that a stunt double?)
We’ve upped the ante for the sixth #MissionImpossible. I can’t wait for you guys to see more. A post shared by Tom Cruise (@tomcruise) on
About the only skeptical thing concerning his Instagram is his witty bio. “Tom Cruise: Actor. Producer. Running in movies since 1981.” But a man like Cruise, who is known for his charm, seems possible enough to have written such great copy.
