The world’s finest sushi and Japanese chefs came together at Miami’s stunning Nobu Hotel at the Eden Roc for the first North American World of Nobu event. The global series is an exclusive culinary journey with world-renowned chef and restauratuer, Nobu Matsuhisa, and his worldwide team of 38 executive chefs.

Prior to visiting the Magic City, the team has held the event in worldwide locations including Dubai, Melbourne, Shoreditch and more, each time showcasing the works of the talented chefs of each location. While the World of Nobu was a multi-day event, each day highlighting a new culinary theme, on its final day, the hotel held their nighttime pinnacle event, Taste of Nobu, where the 38 chefs held stations throughout the beautiful poolside area and served bites of signature dishes.
Guests and VIPs had the unique experience of getting to taste food from every Nobu restaurant in the world throughout the grand evening. From Chef Romain Devic’s Nobu Bahamas Lamb Chop Lollipops with Herb Panko Miso, to Chef Carl Murray’s Nobu Dallas Duck Kabocya Miso and Chef Alejandro Briceno’s Nobu Malibu Sesame Banana Chouz Craquelin dessert, each station stunned in classic Nobu style.

A Champagne bar sponsored by Veuve Clicquot and sake station from Hokusetsu Brewery kept guests refreshed, while a music mashup from DJ Mike Russell entertained. Additionally, event sponsor, Spanish luxury skincare brand Natura Bissé, offered a relaxing ambiance for guests as their Bubble Pure Air pop-up was on site to provide a unique wellness experience, hand massages and skincare consultations.
And an important aspect of the evening was to not only indulge, but to also give back, as philanthropy is extremely important to Chef Nobu Matsuhisa and his dedicated team. The Taste of Nobu event benefitted St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, and the night featured a special silent auction to raise funds for the organization.

  • Ocean-side dinner for four at Nobu Malibu
  • Korin chef knives and coats signed by Chef Nobu himself

The wonderful night continued as VIPs bumped elbows with Chef Nobu and his team of chefs at the exclusive after-party at Bar Nobu where visitors enjoyed music from DJ Rascal and celebrated into the early morning.
