Dior Celebrates New Black Carpet Collection At Art Basel Miami

Dior brought some Parisan flare to Miami for Art Basel to celebrate Art Basel Miami and the launch of the new Black Carpet collection. Dior Homme organized a private dinner in partnership with The Webster and Laffanour Galerie Downtown, Paris.

The dinner was held on December 6th at The Webster with Kris Van Assche (Artistic Director of Dior Homme), Laure Herald Dubreuil (Co-founder and Chief Executive for The Webster), and François Laffanour (Founder of Laffanour Galerie Downtown, Paris). To kick off the event, the ground floor of The Webster featured an installation of the original Akari light sculptures by Japanese-American artist Isamu Noguchi, owned by Laffanour Galerie Downtown, Paris.

Six of the lamps are customized using photographs of flowers taken by Kris Van Assche and are posted on his Instagram account. These floral images have been applied on the lamps in the style of an urban street collage. The lamps were on display in the Dior Homme boutique in Miami during Art Basel.
