What’s New at the Nob Hill Spa
Since it opened 16 years ago, the Nob Hill Spa, at the top of the Scarlet Huntington Hotel, has been one of our favorite places to relax. Although the hotel was sold to new owners who remodeled the space in 2014, the spa—beloved to many locals—was left intact. There are many reasons the spa is one of the best in the city: located on the top of Nob Hill it has a gorgeous view of the city and surrounding Bay. It has an indoor pool, a quiet relaxation lounging room, and small gym. A nail room means you can get a manicure or pedicure after your treatment. There are 10 treatment rooms and the spa services are offered late—until 9 pm daily. If you’re in need of a post work massage session, the Nob Hill Spa is the best place to get it. Unlike many spas, it has access to the hotel’s restuarant and offers full service breakfast and lunch menu options. If you’re hungry after a morning treatment, you can indulge in an egg white frittata with grilled tomatoes, spinach, and manchego. The lunch consists of items like ahi tuna salad and Dungeness crab cakes. The spa also updates its menu of treatments, so regulars will never get sick of the same old body scrub.
In the past couple of months, the spa has launched a series of exciting new treatments which we highlight below.
- The rejuvenate body and face ritual is a skincare service that harnesses the power of chia seeds and matcha tea. The luxurious body treatment starts with a cleansing chia seed scrub that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids that leaves skin feeling soft and velvety. A rich body cream infused with matcha tea smoothes the skin even more. The final step is a facial peptide formula that ensures you leave feeling rested and rejuvenated.
- Carita Paris’s golden radiance facial is now available. It involves a trio of powerful anti-aging ingredients that feature gold. All of Carita’s treatments are created using a combination of science-driven and natural elements. This unique facial rebalances energy and improves well being resulting in firmer skin with more even skin tone and a youthfully radiant glow.
- The bamboo massage is an Asian-inspired treatment that involves bamboo tools. The 80-minute massage increases relaxation, decreases muscular contraction, and improves posture. The warmth of the bamboo is supposed to revive anyone who might be stuck in a sluggish state.
- The magnesium wellness treatment is a massage that combines dry brushing with therapeutic massage, and detoxifying magnesium. The mineral is responsible for promoting overall well being and increases energy levels, sleep, and muscle function. This is ideal for people who have been feeling more stressed than usual.
