Zulay Henao is an actress that is as “hot” as she is “haute.” The Colombian-born beauty can next be seen opposite Kevin James in Netflix action/comedy, True Memoirs Of An International Assassin on November 11. The film has some serious comedic chops: in addition to James as the star, the film is directed by Jeff Wadlow (Kick Ass 2), written by Jeff Morris and produced by Todd Garner (Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2), Guy Riedel (Couples Retreat, Wedding Crashers) and Mark Fasano for Broken Road Productions. Henao has been making a mark for herself in the comedy realm from the start: she garnered a lot of buzz for her role playing opposite Mike Epps in the hilarious Lionsgate comedy Meet The Blacks, which was released earlier this year, as well as Lionsgate’s 2014 film, Single Moms Club and the comedy series Love Thy Neighbor. In addition, Henao will next start production on season 4 of OWN’s #1 rated drama If Loving You Is Wrong and recently wrapped the independent feature White Space, starring opposite Holt McCallany with the team behind The Matrix. Here, this hilarious beauty shares her haute secrets to the City of Angels.

Where were you born: I was born in beautiful Medellin, Colombia

How long in LA: I’ve lived in Los Angeles a total of 7 crazy fun years, consider this home now.

Neighborhood: The Valley, specifically Studio City for six years and have now bought a house in the Santa Clarita Valley.

Occupation: Amazingly, I’m a working actress.

Favorite Restaurant: So many!  I have a conflict with having a “favorite” anything, but right now I am at Sugar Fish alone, so that’s very telling.  Love this place.

Best Sushi: SUGAR FISH

Best Italian: Dan Tana’s- the food is divine and it also just has this beautiful old world charm that I love.

Best dessert: Anything A la mode preferably with caramel salted ice cream.

Best place for a romantic date: Malibu wins this one, so many beautiful places to eat fresh and delicious, and catch the most stunning sunsets.

Best place for a power business meeting:  I would definitely go with Soho House in Malibu.  It is private where you could feel like you are in your living room but also lends itself to randomly meeting Brian Grazer.  Yeah, so random right!

If you have out of town guests, which hotel would you recommend?  I always recommend The London hotel.  The decor is absolutely stunning, and views from rooftop are unmatched.  I think location is great too, very in the mix but just off the main Sunset strip, which offers a little more privacy.

Favorite shopping venue/boutique: I love shopping at The Grove.  You can spend an entire day; shop, eat, watch a movie and finish the day off with great ice cream.  ;)

Best Spa: Without a doubt, the Four Seasons spa offers state of the art skin care, with their hydra-facial among many and just a really beautiful, relaxing experience overall.

Favorite Charity Event: I absolutely love the Eva Longoria Padres Contra el Cancer charity, I’ve attended for the past couple of years, and I have to say their commitment to their mission is admirable.

Best Steakhouse: Mastro’s Malibu- best date night in Malibu, steak is AMAZING of course but that sunset is hard to forget.

Best Gym/Athletic Facility: The Heart and Hustle Gym is the gym of GYMS!!!  Owned by my very good friend Greg Miele, they really cater to their client’s specific needs and are responsible for a lot of our top athletes competitiveness.

Best Limousine/Driving Service: Empire CLS is a really great company.  They are headquartered out of the east coast so that makes me really happy.  I have to say they employ some do the kindest, hardest working people in the business.  Ask for Peter next time you are in town!

Describe your city in three words: Hectic, eclectic and charismatic.

All-around favorite spot in Los Angeles: I really love the South Bay- the beach, the easy like a Sunday morning vibe of the beach is beautiful and sometime so necessary.

Best Aspect of Los Angeles: The diversity of this city has to be the best thing for me.  The hope in so many dreams, from so many creative people all living in this huge metropolis really, really inspires me.
