Hailee Steinfeld on Film, Fashion and Her First Luxury Purchase

She may only be 19 years old, but Hailee Steinfeld has been carefully cultivating superb taste since the age of 13, when she made her film debut—and scored an Academy Award Best Supporting Actress nomination to boot—in the Coen brothers’ 2010 film, True Grit. Steinfeld, who has also appeared in films like Begin Again and Pitch Perfect 2 (which kick-started her current secondary career as a pop star; she’s now on tour with Meghan Trainor), is also a bonafide fashionista, who has been awarded and feted for her fashion choices. We caught up with the starlet while she was promoting Swarovski’s Crystaldust collection (she’s a friend of the brand) at the brand’s Turn Up the Style launch event to chat about film, fashion and her first truly big luxury purchase.
