Although it didn’t originate here, it’s almost like STK was made for Miami. The edgy steakhouse caters to the city’s body-obsessed diners with lighter dishes, great salads, small, medium and large portion sizes, and what feels like a party every night with an in-house DJ. So it’s only natural that the steakhouse chain, which is owned by the publicly traded ONE Group Hospitality, has opened a second location here. After all, the South Beach STK has been popular with locals and visitors alike, and survived the many changing of hands at the hotel it is in, which is now 1 Hotel.

The downtown restaurant is situated in the new ME Miami Hotel on Biscayne Boulevard. The ME Miami Hotel caters to the young and trendy with contemporary design and a rooftop bar. STK’s interior design reflects that, featuring smooth concrete floors and a neutral gray palette spiked by pops of color from an art collection featuring local artists Derek Hunter, Katy Hirschfeld and DOWW. The restaurant is open until midnight, boasts live DJs and is situated right across from the American Airlines Arena, so it’s sure to become a pre and post-game hotspot.

“Miami is a city that has welcomed and embraced the STK brand for many years, and we are thrilled to be a part of ME by Meliá’s first U.S. location,” said Jonathan Segal, CEO, The ONE Group. “STK Miami is our second opening in Florida this year, following Orlando, and marks another milestone in our plan to strategically expand the company. With nine STK locations currently in development, we are excited to bring our unique vibe dining experience to several new cities across the globe.”
