Stars & Chefs Unite for the No Kid Hungry Dinner in LA

Lea Michele, John Stamos, Seth MacFarlane and Amanda Seyfried an were among the many celebrities who attended the annual No Kid Hungry dinner in Los Angeles; the non-profit seeks to end childhood hunger today by ensuring that kids start the day with a nutritious breakfast and families learn the skills they need to shop and cook on a budget.

Supporters came together to honor Hans Röckenwagner, owner of The Röckenwagner Bakery Group, for his commitment to ending child hunger in America. The spectacular seated dinner was hosted at a private residence in Santa Monica where John Stamos served as the evening’s master of ceremonies, and Seth MacFarlane performed a few songs with his band.

Amanda Seyfried, longtime supporter of the organization, was spotted with new fiancé,Thomas Sadowski. Emcee John Stamos, welcomed the crowd of supporters including the men of FOX’s “New Girl,” Max Greenfield, Jake Johnson, Lamorne Morris who joked with each other throughout the night. Other notables in attendance included Jamie Lee Curtis, Weird Al” Yankovic and Jennifer Grey.Christopher GuestGordon RamsayCat DeeleyChristina TosiAli LarterTerry Crews, Patrick Kielty, Gary Newman, Dana Walden, Adam Berkowitz, Bryan Lourd, and David Linde.

The event featured food prepared by James Beard Foundation Outstanding Chef 2016 Award-winner Suzanne Goin, chef and owner of Lucques, A.O.C. and TavernJames Beard Foundation Outstanding Chef 2014 Award-winner Nancy Silverton, chef and co-owner Mozza Restaurant Group and founder of La Brea Bakery; James Beard Foundation Best Chef in the West 2016 Award-winners Jon Shook & Vinny Dotolo, chefs and restaurateurs behind Jon & Vinny’s, Animal, Son of a Gun, Trois Mec, and Petit Trois; Chris Oh, chef and co-owner of Hanjip; Michael Cimarusti, chef and owner of Cape Seafood and Provisions, Providence and Connie & Ted’s; Nyesha Arrington, chef and owner of Leona; Govind Armstrong, chef and owner of 8 oz Burger Bar; Jeremy Strubel, chef of Winsome; Duff Goldman, of Charm City Cakes; Megan Potthoff, executive pastry chef of WP24; and Valerie Gordon, of Valerie Confections.

Nearly one in five children in this country struggles with hunger, including more than two million children in California. No Kid Hungry is ending childhood hunger in this nation by ensuring that kids start the day with a nutritious breakfast and families learn the skills they need to shop and cook on a budget. Since the campaign’s launch, No Kid Hungry and its partners have connected kids struggling with hunger with more than 460 million additional meals.
